Magnolia Tree b&b Blog
Long Time No See
Hello its Candy, its been ages since I did a bit of blogging on our website. So what s been happening at the Magnolia Tree B&B since last time. Well, we have had 14 different nationalities it our first 18months of opening! I have come to the conclusion about people, in general are we are all basically the same. I have been having the same conversations over the months with all these different country people. We may have our little differences, thank goodness ie the English obsession with tea, people from the US seem to like very sweet food, German people seem to be very nervous of dogs, the Australians are very happy people even in our climate! I just love meeting all these different people. I suppose I should not be in this business if I am not a people person.
I love hearing about how other people live in their respective countries, the weather, the food, their way of life and although I was not really interested in travelling before I now would like to take a visit to some of these places. I went to several countries when I was in my teens and early twenties but that was a long time ago and the world changes rapidly. However, I have a big problem, Lloyd is terrified of snakes and won't even think of stepping foot in Australia. He is also an avid cricket supporter and although we won the ashes this year he still won't go! When we retire then I have convinced him to take an escorted trip around snake free Europe in our Zimmer Frames!
Well I had better finish now and wait for some more lovely guests to arrive, not from an exotic country but from sunny Poole! I'm sure they are smashing.
